Hello there! I’m a San Francisco-based product designer and illustrator currently working at Mapbox and running my store, Design + Happiness, on my off hours.
I’m a San Francisco based designer currently working at Mapbox. I like to create delightful experiences that make people’s lives better.
After earning my economics degree from the University of California, Berkeley during the 2008 recession, I had time to think about what I wanted to do with my life. I had been interested in design but never thought it would be something I could do. I decided to go for it and see what happens. Having no training in design, I read books, watched online tutorials, and tried to design as much as I could. I took unpaid and paid internships while working at a climbing gym to make ends meet. Fast forward to today, I have designed for tech companies, non-profits, local governments, and the federal government.
In my spare time, you can find me working on my side passion project, Design + Happiness. Design + Happiness is where I channel my fun side and design a collection of goods that make people smile and bring them happiness. I also like to dabble in photography, right now mainly dog photography of my little girl, Boba.
