Besides secure messaging, I also worked on making it easier for Veterans to refill their prescriptions, get their health care records, and check their status on their appeals all in one place, on Vets.gov.
ux design, visual design, responsive web design
Working with two other designers, engineers, a researcher, and a product manager, we migrated and improved the design for refilling prescriptions from My HealtheVet (MHV) to Vets.gov. Now Veterans can refill and track their prescriptions, message their provider when refills run out, and look at their prescription history on Vets.gov.
Veterans can request various types of health records from the VA. Working with engineers, a product manager, and scrum master we migrated and improved the design for obtaining health records while easing experience caused by technical constraints.
Once a Veteran files their appeal, they don't really know what happens to it. The process could take years to complete. Our goal was to surface as much information as we could for the Veteran to know their status of their appeals. Working with engineers, a product manager, and scrum master we designed a place where Veterans could find out more about their appeals, what their next steps might be, and learn more about the process in general.
